My Amusing Midlife Revelations
A healthy aging lifestyle should always include time for FUN. So, I thought it was about time for a light-hearted post...
At age 60, I like to think of myself as a 'midlifer'-- not a senior. But, I can honestly say that I have noticed some changes with the years.
How many of these midlife realizations can you relate to?
- I've reached a point where I've stopped lying about my age and started bragging about it (see, I just told you was 60).
- I think Millennials are much younger than I was at that age.
- On the other hand, people my own age are much older than I am.
- I consider coffee as one of the most important things in life.
- I get a buzz from one glass of wine.
- I asked 'Alexa' to play 70's music and she loaded an oldie's station.
- I suddenly find "Antiques Roadshow" fascinating.
- I am aware that other people's grandchildren aren't as bright as mine.
- I don't like traffic, waiting, crowds or children in restaurants.
- I can't remember the last time I stepped into a mall.
- If I call people after 9 pm, I ask "Did I wake you?"
- I use only whitening toothpaste.
- I can't lose 10 pounds in 3 days anymore.
- If I see someone wearing high heels, I just can't resist the urge to ask if they hurt.
- I wake-up early on days I can sleep in, not by choice.
- I've started to think an Alaskan cruise might actually be fun.
Now it's your turn! What are your midlife revelations?
